Jerome Baker Designs (JBD)
Jerome Baker is a pseudonymous name, created as a joke between Jason Harris and his friends after their love for Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. Harris began blowing glass in 1991, launching and turning Jerome Baker Designs into a multi-million dollar company. He was a custom glass blower for a multitude of celebrities and is still one of the most well recognized names in the industry.
Harris was an apprentice of Bob Snodgrass, a legendary figure in the glass-blowing world himself, who is said to have invented colour-changing glass. The two of them once followed around The Grateful Dead on tour, blowing and selling glass at concerts out of the back of their van.
Recently, JBD has partnered up with one of the leading German families in glass blowing and has introduced some highly creative and scientific works of art, which are exclusive to Canada.
Every piece of glass is hand-signed to guarantee it as an official JBD piece.
